I found this video saved on my camera today. I had actually intended to include it in the video about our trip to New Hampshire HERE! But for some reason lost track of it. Anyways, It seems like there was a little too much excitement for Grandma Keiran. She ended up passing out, hands clutched to the sixth Harry Potter book before we even made it out of Massachusetts. I miss the Live Free state. And Crissy. But I'm excited to go back to school in a few weeks.

"Wait- I have to go in and put pants on."

It was a dark day in the 717 today. Kim left to go back to Purdue this morning... leaving the rest of us all feeling really really depressed to be without our Filipino. So last night Tyler, Cait, and I ambushed her in the middle of her frantic packing to surprise her with a drawing I did using Crayola Crayons. We sat in her driveway, watched shooting stars, traded college stories from the previous year, ate delicious apple biscuit pastries, reminisced about the olden times, and talked about her cult/sorority. Man, I'm going to miss her.

ANTM Pose: Kim, Liz Smith, and Me. Crayola Crayon and Pencil.
(Sidenote: I think these pictures reenforce my need for a new camera rather prominently.)

Hall and Oates
Reasons Why I Love Temple:
Reason 657793: Hall and Oates
"Daryl Hall first met John Oates at the Adelphi Ballroom in Philadelphia in 1967 while attending Temple University. Each was heading his own musical group at the time—Hall with The Temptones and Oates with The Masters. They were there for a band competition when gunfire rang out between two rival gangs, and in trying to escape, they ran to the same service elevator. Because of their similar musical tastes and close proximity inside the elevator, they quickly became acquainted. It would take them another two years to form a musical duo, and three years after that, they had signed to Atlantic Records and released their debut album. "

What You Chalkin' About, Willis?
Slight change of plans: the mural project in my room has been revamped. I've decided to go in a new direction... no more paint. Paint's expensive. And I'm too indecisive. And besides, who do you think I am--a millionaire?! That's why I've decided to switch over to chalkboard paint. And I went to Michael's and got 10 pieces of chalk for 99 cents! Now that's do-able.
Honestly, looking back on it I don't know why I didn't realize it sooner. I mean, it's a known fact I can draw about ten times faster than I can paint. And after I start/finish something I always want to do something else. And I am always referring friends to Rockstar Diaries' use/love of chalkboard paint. But I think what really swayed me was the movie, 500 Days of Summer. His bedroom in it was probably one of my favorite parts. And I loved how he drew the header for his bed. And then could just erase it and draw something new! So, after my mom and dad headed off to work, and my sister drove off to Hershey Park, I decided to paint over the mural. I am actually pretty pleased with it. Who knows, maybe I'll bring some to Philly with me.

Home in Harrisburg...
New Hampshire was wonderful!!!!!! Seriously one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The car ride back was alright. Mad props to C.Dubs for being a driving pro. We got stuck in "wicked" traffic all through Connecticut. I feel like everyone who lives there is just always trying to escape it. Also... my mom took me to Ritas for italian ice and we bonded at the dog park with Trey. I went to 3B's Ice Cream with Noelle, Sara, Emily, Sarah Zig, and Kaity Black. Emmy was working and jumped through the window to hug me (it's kinda become a tradition now.) Now I'm extremely beat, so off to bed for me. I'll post more about NH later...
