So last night we headed over to the skate spot across form 1300 and decided to light sparklers. Just because we could. Soooo much fun.

Computers Assignment! And with it, yet another all nighter in the tech center. We had to scan our faces into the computer... then using Illustrator illustrate ourselves. This is my end result, mainly because I'm really tired and need some sleep. Being one of the most computer illiterate people on this planet, I'm actually pretty amazed I could do this. Over all time: Over 7 or 8 hours.

Friday Free Time...

Best news ever! My little sister decided to visit me at Temple this weekend!!!!!!! 

 She seriously makes my day, and not going to lie, I've been feeling a little down recently. I don't really know why, I'm just kind of in a funk recently. But my wonderful sister always makes me feel like an amazing person. I think thats just something I admire most about her... her ability to truly and honestly be nice to anyone. 

We just got back from a fun filled Friday night in Old City! We went for First Friday. Laur liked all the street venders, and I have to agree they are definitely my favorite part too.

It just so happens that this weekend has been dubbed "brothers weekend" because a lot of our brothers are visiting. 

(I'm taking this time to point out that I tried to get the name changed to "sibling weekend" because Lauren is clearly not a boy, but was strongly vetoed.)

We stopped at a little cupcake bakery in Old City. Where a various assortment of cupcakes and cookies were purchased and then swiftly consumed.

It was also in their parking lot that Cait decided to break into impromptu dances and posing.

Alex and Corrie were happy they had baked goods. But not happy I had to take this picture three times.

My camera was frustrating me. And tonight just further proved why I will never in a million years become a photo major. 

So to cheer me up we stopped off at the cookie truck. SOOO SOOO GOOD! And I'm a little ashamed to say that this was my first successful visit to the cookie truck this semester. 

But it was so worth it!

Laur agreed. 

I love her so much. 

Tomorrow... off to the Zoo! DickBlick! and possibly South Street!

Show Me Your Soul...

This past weekend I went to West Philly with Cait and Lyndsay to test drive the new Kia Soul. Why were we test driving the car whose commercials depict it being driven around by all kinds of wacked out hamsters... well I'm glad you asked. 

You see they were giving out free MGMT tickets to the first couple hundred people or so that test drove the car. So naturally as any college student would do, we waited in line for almost 3 hours to drive around the block in the city and get a free pair of tickets that otherwise would have cost between $50-75. Gotta love a good bargain. 

Llola (the car salesperson) and I became close friends. We talked the entire time and she even gave me the option of taking the car for an even longer ride/alternative route because she said I was a good driver and could hold a conversation. Apparently it had been a pretty long day for her too. 

After the test drive we went to a menagerie of thrift stores where Caitlin ended up looking like a homeless person because of the black trash bags jam packed with stuff she bought. I managed to find a highlighter yellow hoodie at SALVO, but that's not why I bought it. I bought it because someone had sewn "I love freddy krueger" into the back of it using those iron on letters. What a gem, a true classic. I ended the day with a burrito from Qdoba as the girls ate gilotto from the place on Sampson. Overall weekend: success.

Draw Me Some Motivation...

Some drawing homework from a few weeks ago... I need to start spending more time on my homework here. I feel like I kind of forget about this class or wait to the last minute because:

1) my professor is super nice and I don't really feel pressure to push myself...

2) I find that the things/styles he is having us draw are all really kind of boring...

3) Im just not as motivated as I was last year in Helen Bayley's class. I need to work on that.
