Pound For Pound...

Laur and I just finished watching Seven Pounds on demand. It was actually the first On Demand Movie I have ever ordered. But luckily Laur's a pro at it. We actually intended on watching the 5th Harry Potter movie while making a late night run to McDonalds, but it wasn't at Red box or On Demand. 

Anyways... Seven Pounds-- Sooo good. Sooo motivating. Sooo sad. Seriously... I am not afraid to admit it, I cry like a baby at movies. 

I get it from my mom.

I think I just really liked the moral when all was said and done: In a society that seems to forget about the good guy, finally comes someone who recognizes them for their contributions and rewarded without asking. Soo good. I also love spending time with Laur... even if it's 3 am movies.

Free Food Frenzy!!!

So the McDonalds on Rt. 22 has a new night manager and he is possibly my new favorite person in Central Pennsylvania.  A few nights ago Laur, Rachel, and I were given a free mcflurry because they "accidentally" made us an extra one. Another time Laur and I were given larger servings of fries than what we had paid for. And what makes me realize it is actually the new manager and not just a bunch of coincidences was that tonight, after Kim and I watch Kathy Griffin My Life on the D-List and Discovery Health Medical Mysteries, we went to McDonalds and were given not only larger fry servings, but also free milkshakes. FREE!!!! I felt like we had just hit the Jackpot! Won the lottery! Were just awarded one of those over-sized checks worth ridiculous amounts of prize money! Only it was better... because he gave us not only one, but two! One for each of us. Kim screamed like a little kid in a candy store. So if you ever find yourself on Rt. 22 around 1 am... head on over to McDonalds and who knows maybe you'll be lucky and get $8 worth of food for the price of 2!?!

Who Shaves Anymore?

My Last Couple Days... have been interesting. 

I'm still adjusting to being home, but I've:

-asked Mennonites for directions...

-not contracted Swine Flu...(success)

-had Neato Burrito

-driven on a mountain and saw a wild turkey

-been playing phone tag with my potential future employer.

-received an extra (FREE!) mcflurry while out with Laur and Carly

-driven to Kim's house and dropped off said free mcflurry...

-went to church for Ascension Thursday...

-almost died over Kim's enthusiasm while singing "On Eagles Wings"

-ordered Chinese-take out from my old favorite place

-watched the premier of So You Think You Can Dance with Kim (addicting!)

-visited my old art teacher...

-felt soooo old, because I didn't recognize a lot of kids from my high school...

-tried to take Trey to get his nails clipped with mom. Epic Failure! 

-learned Kim has never had to shave her legs because apparently Filipinos are hairless?

-reminisced in a classy upscale McDonalds with Kim and Jr.

-Tomorrow I'm up early again... mom and I are off to Saturday's Market and Liz and Molly's grad parties...

J: "NO! This is an upscale eatery and I'm gonna keep it classy"

Angels and Demons...

Things I Did Today:

1) slept till 1 pm

2) started the job hunt

3) applied to three places

4) came home and applied to two more online

5) did some yard work for my mom

6) played with puppy

7) made laur dinner

8) watched the bourne supremacy

9) went to see angels and demons

10) ate french fries at mcdonalds @ 1 am

I love it when Laur and I do spontaneous things.  She didn't even want to go see the movie... granted we got home around 1 am, but she couldn't stop talking about it the entire ride home. I love her. That movie was amazing.  My sister is amazing. 

New Summer Goal: Be more Spontaneous!

Eat Great, Even Late...

It has become a family tradition among my siblings and I that at various times throughout the year we take these late night fast food trips in order to strengthen our sibling bonds.  We call these late night jaunts: Mcflurry Runs...

(even though it can take place at any fast food locale... with Wendys or McDonalds being the usual because of shear convenience) 

Tonight Laur and I rounded up the puppy and headed out to get ourselves some late night conversation with a side of calorie infested clogged arteries...

Our order included: 

1-Small Blue Poweraide

2-MnM McFlurries (one for Mike)

2- Crispy Ranch Snack Wraps

1- Grilled Honey Mustard Snack Wrap

For a grand total of $11.81

(Kind of a rip off... but then again, you can't really put a price on quality time.)
